albergo BELVEDERE

Albergo Belvedere is a hotel in Transacqua – Primiero, at the foot of the Pale di San Martino Mountains. It’s a hotel with an honest value for money, suitable for those who are looking for simple accommodation, yet well taken care of, as a starting point to discover the marvelous territory of the Primiero valley.

At Albergo Belvedere you will find warm, family-like hospitality: in fact, we like to call it home, because for our family it is just that. We like to think of welcoming our guests as the act ofopening the door to our home.

Our history

END 1800s

The tavern with accommodation “Alla Vanuia” of Bortolo Simoni, as it is reported in Cesare Battisti’s Guidebook of Primiero from 1912, is the first core of what was to become the Albergo Belvedere.

the 1930s

The preexisting building takes the name of Albergo Belvedere, with reference to the 360° panoramic view of the Pale di San Martino, Val Canali, and the Vette Feltrine mountains. By that time there was no other building around it.

THE 1940s

During this period, the roof was reconstructed and the top floor was made livable, as can be guessed from the small dormer windows visible in the photo. The traditional wooden veranda of previous years also disappears.

the 1950s

First extension of the hotel structure:
As can be seen from the photo to the side, which dates back to 1955, the rows of windows have become four instead of three.

1967

After the Primiero flood of November 1966, the hotel was expanded a second time, doubling its volume.

1992

Last extension of the hotel, in which the top floor was rebuilt and the roof was raised. Later, the interventions carried out in the structure only affected the interior.
